Amy Peacock graduated from the University of Georgia Grady College with a degree in advertising and double minor in political science and business.

Her athletic background started early. At age six she started playing soccer and continued playing through college. At age 13 she started her first fitness business.

She began her career at Northwestern Mutual and later led exciting strategic development initiatives for e-centives, Inc. an early internet marketing and database integration company.

She left e-centives, Inc. in 2001 to care for her mother who had ALS.

Upon moving to Charlotte in 2003, and having two young children, she chose to return to her early passion of fitness as a career and became a certified fitness trainer and soon after, Charlotte’s first certified Chi Running and Chi Walking instructor.

She now coaches individuals and groups how to run, walk and exercise injury-free. http://www.virtualathlete.com

She has been active in serving her community on a variety of fronts.  While in Washington DC area, she was a member of the Netprenuer start up community. She also created a family foundation for ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) to raise funds for patients education, equipment and research. Today she continues to be a passionate advocate for business start ups, ALS, and the disabled.

In Charlotte, North Carolina, Amy served on the board of Girls on The Run for three years, launched a care team ministry at her church, Myers Park Presbyterian, served on the church’s health ministry, and now continues to serve on the Every Member has a Ministry team as a mentor. Additionally, she teaches athletic conditioning classes at the church’s wellness center. In early 2013, she helped launch Females in Action, aka, “FIA” a grass roots, free outdoor workout for females. FIA is now expanding wildly across NC and SC with the help of the proactive FIA community and leaders. http://www.fianation.com.
