Dilworth Neighborhood Grill,

The Active Charlotte Alliance (ACA) is honored to have Meredith Dolhare as our featured speaker for the quarterly luncheon on Friday, October 10th.  The event is open to anyone and RSVPs are encouraged.  The luncheon will occur at the Dilworth Neighborhood Grill.

Meredith founded a non-profit called RunningWorks (www.RunningWorks.org), which encourages the homeless community to rediscover the power of teamwork, discipline, confidence and respect for each other—all things she has accrued through sport. She will tell you that these things literally saved her life. Never underestimate that when you do a good deed for someone else, you are not benefitting ten times more.

An excerpt from her website is the following:

“You never really know what you have until it is snatched away from you in an instant. I like to remember that no matter how much or how little I race—and no matter the result, I am lucky to be out there, I don’t “have” to be out there. I “get” to be, and for that I will be forever grateful. Plus, I will always, always try to finish what I start. My RunningWorks Family is watching expectantly and waiting for me to come home. “
